Al-Mahed "Nativity" TV.
broadcasts every Sunday the Holy Mass, from the
various Catholic, Orthodox and other Churches in the
area. Special programs are prepared for celebrations
and feasts. This pastoral weekly Christian service,
accompanied by the weekly broadcasting of the Islamic
Friday prayer, attests to the endeavor of Al-Mahed
"Nativity"
Administration to provide spiritual food to our
people, especially the sick, elderly and handicapped,
as well as other persons prevented from sharing in the
weekly worship respectively in the church or the
mosque. Al-Mahed "Nativity" is the only local (and national)
television, which meets such needs and gives the
Christian Community this valuable opportunity.
Departing from the same endeavor to foster balanced
view points and attitudes regarding religious issues
and the global vision of the world, based on faith,
Al-Mahed "Nativity" Television offers a weekly Islamic
and a weekly Christian program, where the priest and
the Imam answer the live question of the telespectators.
Al-Mahed "Nativity" TV. was delighted and proud, for
instance, to give an extensive coverage of the
historical visit of His Holiness Pope/ John Paul II
to the Holy
Land and lately a full coverage of the election
and enthroning of His Beatitude Patriarch/ Irineos.
The holy times at Advent, Lent and Easter are
underlined in Al-Mahed "Nativity" TV. by hymns,
celebrations and programs, like the month of Ramadan where a daily program is
given.
